The via ferrata “Vučji zub” Orjen is very interesting as it takes you through four vertical sections with one short traverse. It is excellently secured and provides resting positions during the climb.
Who is it for: Physically and mentally fit adults
How to get there: Drive on the main road from Sarajevo to Trebinje until you reach the center of Trebinje. From there, continue on the road towards Herceg Novi, following the signs for the Orjen mountain and the Ubla mountain lodge (20 km from Trebinje). From the Ubla mountain lodge, follow the road to the excursion site at the end of the asphalt road. Then, continue on the marked gravel road, which contains hiking trail markings and shortcuts leading to the location of Pirina Poljana (approximately 6.5 km hike). The trail then continues along the edge of Pirina Poljana, where it transitions into a narrow hiking trail leading to the location of Dobri Do (1380 meters above sea level), approximately 8 km from the starting point. From Dobri Do, the trail branches off to the left towards Vučji zub and goes through a beech forest. The trail is clearly visible and marked, taking about 1 hour to reach the plateau below the rock where the via ferrata is located. Further on, the trail leads to a hole (opening) that you pass through, and then you will arrive at a scree through which you reach the entrance of the ferrata, about 20 minutes of walking.
