Via ferrata “Fortica” is short and sweet, offering the most beautiful view of Mostar. It features a suspension bridge, and nearby, you'll find the Skywalk terrace, the longest zipline in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as 13 sports climbing routes (if you find the via ferrata too short, these routes will surely tire you out).
The best time to visit is whenever you find yourself in Mostar.
Who is it for: Physically and mentally fit adults
How to get there: From the Mostar-Trebinje regional road, turn left towards the Fortica tourist complex upon entering the city. Drive along the main road to the zip line's intermediate station. Follow the markers and descend below the rocky ridge until you reach the entrance of the via ferrata.
Approach: 10 minutes
Length of the via ferrata: 200m
Elevation difference: 80m
Technical difficulty: A/B, details C
Average crossing time: 30 minutes
The return route can be taken either via the "Devil's Stairs," a marked uphill path used to approach the via ferrata, or by continuing from the exit of the via ferrata on the marked uphill trail until you reach the zip line's intermediate station, and then descend to your car.
